Adapt to the Development of Aero-engine Materials and Improve the Level of Trace Sulfur Detection

Abstract

Abstract With the development of aero-engine industry, the main materials of aero-engine, such as superalloys and steels, have higher needs for the detection of trace sulfur. We start from four aspects: ultra-pure composite flux, two-stage calibration at both ends, handling of blank influence and application of Carbon and Sulfur determinator to improve the detection level of trace sulfur. The detection of trace sulfur near 1 ppm has achieved ideal result, and the detection technology has reached the world advanced level.
