Abstract
The theory of a partially coherent photon echo in a static magnetic field at the presence of a pulsed magnetic field, causing oscillations of the echo intensity, is constructed. It is shown that the coherence time can be found by the dependence of the echo intensity on the laser frequency. The theory is compared with the experiment in LuLiF4:Er3+ (transition 4I15/2 -4F9/2) and in YLiF4:Er3+ at the same transition.
