Abstract

Abstract Vision screening cannot be popularized due to the uneven distribution of medical resources and subjective limitations of traditional detection. This paper proposes an automatic and objective vision screening system, which uses Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals to analyze people’s visual state, avoiding subjective errors. Meanwhile, this system just relies on personal operation without the involvement of medical staff, reducing the cost of time and medical resources. The experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the visual state can be increased to 80%, with the combined use of signal processing, relevant feature extraction, and optimization measures in this system. It indicates that the system is feasible and can play a role in visual screening based on EEG signals in the future.
