Abstract
The Kapitza resistance of the sapphire-lead interface was calculated using the propagation analysis of the elastic wave at the interface; results are is in a good agreement with the experimental data. We present a detailed analysis of the elastic wave propagation at the interface between two different materials. The energy distribution of the waves transmitted through the interface as a function of the incident angle is obtained to calculate the Kapitza resistance. For the first time, the Kapitza resistance was determined during the heat flux from both sides: from the sapphire side and from the lead side.
