Abstract
Abstract
Foldable quad-rotor UAV has the advantages of both artillery shells and rotor UAVs and can have the ability of long-distance rapid deployment and stagnation to perform tasks. To describe the rapid deployment process of gun-launched UAVs, a simplified internal ballistic and external ballistic modeling method is proposed. The ballistic parameters such as muzzle velocity, flight velocity variation, and flight trajectory are obtained. The effects of the variation of parameters such as initial pressure on the ballistic characteristics of the gun-launched UAV are analyzed. The research shows that the quad-rotor UAV can realize long-range rapid delivery and deployment after folding and pneumatic launching. With the increase of initial pressure, the muzzle velocity and range have a nonlinear increase. The related research results provide an important reference for the improvement of the subsequent gun-launched quad-rotor UAVs.
