Abstract
Abstract
The mathematical model water and air movement in snow is studied taking into account sublimation. Snow is simulated as a four-phase continuous porous medium. The pores are entirely occupied by a mixture of water, air and vapor. To describe the process, the mass conservation equations for each phase, the Musket–Leverett system of two-phase filtration equations for water and air, and the energy conservation equation for snow are used.
