Abstract
In the current work a three-dimensional numerical model of a plasma beam expansion in the background plasma based on the kinetic description of an ion plasma component is proposed. To describe electrons the magneto-hydrodynamics equations are used. The Vlasov kinetic equations have been solved using the particle-in-cell (PIC) method. The finite-difference schemes have been utilized to solve the Maxwell system of equations and equations for electrons. The series of computations have been carried out to study collisionless mechanisms of the plasma flow interaction and a structure of the generated waves dealing with the conditions of laboratory experiments on the facility of ILP SB RAS.
