Abstract
Abstract
Pyrotechnically actuated devices(PADs) rely on combustion of energetic materials to achieve various functions and are widely used in aerospace fields. In this paper, based on the basic principle of the PADs, a piston-type water inlet device is designed, which can make underwater weapon sink into the seabed to self-destruct when there is an abnormality, and prevent the weapon from accidentally acting or being captured. A segmented mathematical model was established to study the kinematic characteristics of the device, and the functional experimental was carried out. The results show that the water inlet device works reliably and can be applied to a variety of underwater weapons. The mathematical model can predict the performance parameters of the water inlet device during the movement process, providing support for the engineering application and optimal design of the device.
