Abstract
Abstract
In this study, perfluorobutyl iodide (PI) and glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) were used to synthesize perfluorobutane glycidyl azide polymer (PGAP) and coated on aluminum powder to form Al@PGAP. PGAP, an energetic fluoride, was used to explore the combustion promotion of aluminum powder. The Al@PGAP showed better thermal reaction and combustion performance. The exothermic enthalpy of Al@PGAP were increased by about 1.5 times, with higher combustion heat, lower ignition temperature and longer burning duration, compared with raw Al.
