Abstract
This paper designs a PV/T system based on TRNSYS software that can be used for power and hot water production. The annual performance analysis of the system is conducted on the power and hot water production using Shanghai’s typical meteorological data. The annual PV/T electricity generation and hot water production are 1794.87 kW h and 195.57 m3, respectively. The effects of photovoltaic coverage ratio and tank volume on the performance of the PV/T system are analyzed. The photovoltaic coverage ratio significantly affects the electricity generation of the PV/T system but slightly affects the total hot water production. The volume of the tank has almost no effect on the electricity generation of the PV/T system but enhances hot water production.
