Abstract
In this paper, based on dynamics software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, a numerical model is established to simulate the dynamic response of a box-shaped cabin, and the validity of the numerical model is confirmed by comparing its results with existing literature or experimental data. Using the validated model, the study delves into dimensionless damage number of box-shaped cabin structures in relation to implosion responses, taking into account the explosion venting effect. Numerical analysis is performed to determine the relationship between dimensionless damage number Din
and deflection thickness ratio δ/H of the cabin’s plates. The study then considers the influence of the explosion venting effect on the implosion response of box-shaped cabins and proposes dimensionless damage number Din
‘
, which can predict structure damage of constraint explosion.
