Abstract
As a promising photocatalyst, titanium-based metal organic framework (Ti-MOF) has been widely used for the photoreduction of CO2. In this paper, we developed a new Ti-MOF named Fe-Tc, constructed from titanium clusters and ferrocene. Fe-Tc had a wide absorbance range and a good response to visible light. Introducing ferrocene gave it good separation performance of photogenerated electrons and holes. What’s more, Fe-Tc showed excellent photocatalytic activity of CO2 photoreduction. Its production rate of formate (HCOO−) reached 39.5 μmol g−1 h−1 under visible light, which was better than some classical Ti-MOFs.
