Progress in the Preparation Methods of Poly (P-Phenylene Benzodioxazole)

Abstract

Abstract Poly (p-phenylene benzodioxazole) is an aromatic liquid crystalline polymer. Because of its unique rigid structure, high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance and excellent chemical stability, it has broad application prospects in aerospace, ballistic resistance, fire protection and reinforcement materials. This paper summarizes several routes and methods for the preparation of PBO polymers, such as the terephthalic acid method, the AB monomer polymerization method, the TD complex salt method, and explains the development direction of the preparation of PBO polymers.
