In the production process of aluminum electrolytic carbon anode, the kneading process is to fully mix asphalt and powder to obtain the best paste, because the kneading process is completed in a high-temperature kneading machine, there is no suitable automatic real-time judgment method for the uniformity of paste. Real-time online monitoring based on the viscoelastic change of paste during kneading is a potential method to judge the uniformity of paste. In this paper, the Discrete Element Method numerical simulation is used to study the variation law of stirring torque in the mixing and kneading wet mixing process, mainly examining the effect of viscosity on stirring torque. The results showed that the mixing and kneading torque varied periodically and the total torque of the stirrer was positively correlated with the viscosity.
