Abstract
To study the vibration characteristics of the free-damping ribbed plate with fluid load under point force excitation in statistical energy analysis (SEA), the theoretical model of input power calculation was established in this research. The simulational results from SEA commercial software validated the correctness of the proposed theoretical model. As inferred from the theoretical model, the added damping layer and ribs significantly affect the effective bending stiffness and area density, and the added fluid load only affects the effective area density. These effective parameters will affect the input power of the fluid-loaded free-damping ribbed plate, resulting in increased input power as a function frequency. The research in this paper could provide theoretical guidance on the vibroacoustic analysis of underwater complex ship structures.
