Abstract

Abstract Based on big data, the seismic capacity of existing residential buildings is evaluated in this paper. More than 60 representative large and medium cities in China are selected. Key indexes of buildings are extracted by investigating the Internet data, government statistics and business data, and the logical relationship between the indexes is clarified. Then the dynamic analysis model based on probability theory is applied for seismic disaster prediction. Considering changes of seismic fortification level and proportions of different ages of residential buildings, a new evaluation method based on big data is presented to obtain the seismic capacity index of a city. It will provide data support for the reinforcement and reconstruction of existing residential buildings.
