Abstract
Abstract
Titanium alloy tubular form-fit joints formed by internal rolling have the advantages of high-pressure resistance and high reliability, and it is a promising technology to prevent the leakage occurred in aircraft pipeline system. Based on the material modeling for the joined titanium alloy tube and process modeling for the internal rolling, this paper established finite element models to simulate the whole forming process of tubular form-fit joint with loading and unloading. According to the simulation results, the distribution characteristics of stress and plastic strain along two axial paths were analyzed under different forming parameters. Finally, a reasonable ranges of process window were obtained, which are 0.27~0.3mm of rolling depth and 63~68 in•lbs of roller torque.
