Abstract
This work presents the experimental studies on the influence of the average particle size of aluminum oxide used to modify stainless steel surfaces on the change in wetting properties and the movement of the three-phase contact line. To record the formation of a droplet on the surface, we used the equipment of the shadow technique. he geometrical dimensions of the droplets were determined by the Young-Laplace, Tangential 1 and 2 methods. It was found that the larger the average size of aluminum particles used to modify steel surfaces, the more wetting properties and the characteristics of liquid spreading over such surfaces will change.
