Abstract
Abstract
In this paper, the effect of bubble oil on the performance of spiral groove thrust bearing is Investigated. A theoretical model for thrust bearing is established based on bubble-oil two-phase flow considering centrifugal effect and viscosity-temperature relationship. The static characteristics of thrust bearing are analyzed. The result shows that both of viscosity-temperature effect and centrifugal effect can reduce the load capacity and friction torque. Meanwhile, with the increase of aeration level in bubble oil, the capacity, friction torque and maximum temperature rise of spiral groove thrust bearing are lower.
