Abstract
A cesium optical pump magnetometer is a kind of magnetic detection instrument commonly used in geophysical and military fields, which has significant advantages such as high sensitivity, insensitivity to attitude change, and no zero drift. Compared with manned aircraft, rotary-wing UAVs have the advantages of flexible takeoff and landing, low cost, and suitability for small measurement areas, so the aeromagnetic system based on the integration of rotary-wing UAV platforms and cesium optical pump magnetometers has a strong practical value. This paper investigates an FPGA-based CS-3 cesium optical pump magnetometer with a high-precision magnetic field data recording system for building a miniaturized aeromagnetic measurement system based on a rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform, and the system achieves a magnetic field measurement accuracy of 3.4 pT.
