Electron screening is very important in nuclear astrophysics. For nucleosynthesis calculations precise reaction rates should be known at very low energies, where screening cannot be neglected. Despite its importance, a huge disagreement between experimental data and theoretical predictions is still not explained. Recently, we studied the electron screening effect in deuterium implanted titanium targets by measuring the γ-ray yield produced from the 19F(d,p)20F nuclear reaction in inverse kinematics. Our preliminary results are presented below.
