Structure of the most unstable modes in anisotropic turbulence

Abstract

Abstract Dynamics of most unstable modes from isotropic state is the topic of this paper considered. Initial conditions for these modes are given to be agreed with the well-known energy spectra of fully developed turbulence. The simplified equation for the small-scale velocity of incompressible fluid is applied. The simple shear turbulent flow is considered. The final expressions for Reynolds stresses, dissipation transfer should be averaged over the time of the energetic eddies turnover.
