In this paper, a sliding bearing is taken as the research object to study the life simulation and calculation under conditions of a certain eccentricity, a radius clearance, inlet and outlet pressures, a radial load, and taking into account fatigue and wear failure modes. For a calculation case when the eccentricity is 0.6, the average radius gap is 0.05 mm, the inlet pressure is 2 MPa, the outlet pressure is 0.1 MPa, and the radial load is 5000 N. The calculated fatigue life is infinite and the wear life is 7.1×104 revolutions. This paper focuses on providing a method for quantitatively estimating the life of sliding bearings.
