Abstract
To ensure a thermodynamic consistency for a constitutive model is a higher request for modeling the mechanical behaviors of materials. This paper conducts a thermodynamic analysis for a creep-plasticity model for Al 5083 alloy. The constitutive equations are derived from the fundamental thermodynamic laws, maintaining a rigorous physical basis of the proposed model. The monotonic tensile and creep tests are introduced for modeling, illustrating the rationality and accuracy of the proposed model.
