Complex resistivity is one of the important parameters in electrical prospecting. The application of complex resistivity in oil and gas resource evaluation, engineering investigation and contaminated site evaluation can avoid the influence of low contrast on detection accuracy, and has a good application prospect. In order to improve the study of the influence of soil physical properties on complex resistivity and promote the wider engineering application of complex resistivity exploration. In this paper, the effects of dry density and water content on complex resistivity were studied by laboratory tests, and the following laws were obtained: under the same frequency, the lower the water content of soil sample, the higher the resistivity; The higher the degree of compaction, the lower the resistivity.
