Abstract
Abstract
This paper presents the synthesis of the metal-organic structure of terbium Tb2(BDC)3 (BDC: 1,4-benzendicarboxylic acid) obtained by stirring at room temperature (SRT) and by means of the microwave-assisted synthesis method (MW) at 150 °C during 15 min. A comparison was made between the physicochemical properties of the MOF obtained by each of the methods as they were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), observing crystalline materials with crystal size 66.42 and 26.57 nm for SRT and MW, respectively. The luminescent properties were determined by photoluminescent spectroscopy (FL) and finally the morphology presented by MW synthesis.
