Abstract

Abstract Heuristic algorithmis used in the design of electromagnetic band gap structured circular monopole antenna. Design to parametric analysis and optimization with respect to bandwidth enhancement is presented in this work. The proposed algorithm has been compared with famous genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm and optimizedside lobe level has been reported in this work. The comparison between simulation and the measurement results matching is supporting the applicability of the work in real time communication modules.
