The investigation of drying and freezing of spherical samples of porous materials with second order nonlinear differential equations

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the current investigation is to present the results of the model, which allows obtaining the temperature distribution in a spherical sample of porous clay for the processes of rapid drying (heating) and freezing (cooling). Solutions are one-dimensional non-linear temperature distributions for each point in time. The temperature of the external surface of the sample was set equal to the ambient temperature.
