Turbulent diffusion driven by transport of reaction products momentum from active to passive medium

Abstract

Abstract Turbulent mixing driven by transport of reaction products momentum is considered in this paper. Using solution of one-group kinetic equation for reaction products, new expression for generation term in turbulent diffusion equation has been obtained. Self-similar solution of this equation found in Boussinesq approximation leads to linear temporal evolution of mixing zone width.
