Temperature field of SiC – refractometric detector under conditions of visualization of a heated gas stream

Abstract

Abstract As part of a computer experiment using the finite element method, a technique was developed for visualizing the temperature morphology of the temperature field of a refractometric detector based on single-crystal silicon carbide when interacting with an air stream heated to temperatures T = 400 ÷ 1300 C. It is noted that the maximum values of the detector surface temperature at angles of attack of the stream φ = 0 ÷ 90 degrees turned out to be 5-6 times less than the temperature of the air flow. Experimental studies using methods of brightness television pyrometry showed satisfactory agreement with model concepts.
