Abstract
Abstract
Position determination and energy measurement are fundamental properties in gamma spectroscopy and gamma ray astronomy. A multichannel readout system was constructed to test and validate the performance of 5 cm× 5 cm segmented SiPM-based photodetector coupled to a monolith inorganic scintillator crystal. The system was exposed to gamma rays from 137Cs radioactive source collecting events at different SiPM bias voltages. The design and construction of the test setup, the data acquisition system and the obtained results are presented and discussed.
