Abstract
Abstract
The CFD-DEM coupling calculation method is used to study and analyse the influence of different particle sizes on the particle motion behaviour when they collide in the hydrocyclone. The results show that when the particles move in the hydrocyclone, they hardly collide with the inner wall of the hydrocyclone, and the collision position of the particles is mainly concentrated in the 140mm-80mm range of the hydrocyclone. When the particles collide, the particles are suddenly subjected to the contact reaction caused by the collision, and the trajectory will be adjusted from following the fluid streamline to circling at a certain longitudinal position, and the particle size increases with the increase of the particle size.
