Abstract
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is focused on the overview of log periodic dipole antenna that was constructed and placed at UiTM and the data obtained from the antenna. The LPDA antenna was combined with the CALLISTO spectrometer where this is a program under the International Space Weather Initiative to support new country to be a part of solar astrophysics group. Until now, there are many locations around the world that grab this opportunity to contribute the data from their country so that all people can be benefited from it. The function of the antenna and CALLISTO system is more to monitor the Sun for 24 hours per day. The monitoring of the Sun is important as the activities from it such as solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) could harm and disturb the technologies such as GPS and satellites. UiTM take this chance to build the log periodic dipole antenna and the data recorded was presented in this paper. The future improvement of the antenna was discussed to obtain the best performance in gaining the data.
