Abstract
Homogenous catalyst has great selectivity and kinetic advantages. However, it is quite difficult to recover because it has same phase as the reaction mixture, so their utilization is being limited. A popular method to recover the catalyst is organic solvent nanofiltration, which use the transmembrane pressure and the different composition of the solvents to achieve the catalyst recovery. In recent research, a new method-separation using electrochemistry had been discovered which seems to increase the recovery percentage. In this paper, both strategies with recent developments are summarized, and focused on how the accompanied components such as solvents, electrolytes and electrode usage will influence the catalyst recovery.
