Abstract
Abstract
Based on numerical simulation technology, the dynamics simulation of a two-dimensional jellyfish model was carried out. The study analyzed the changes in the surrounding flow field with variations in the jellyfish’s shape during its biomimetic movement. Additionally, it explored the impact of parameters such as the head-body ratio and the ratio of open-close time on the propulsion performance of the biomimetic jellyfish. The research findings revealed that reducing the head-body ratio and increasing the ratio of open-close time improved the propulsion performance of the jellyfish. Specifically, decreasing the head-body ratio resulted in a greater increase in thrust, while increasing the ratio of open-close time led to a smaller enhancement in thrust.
