Abstract
Abstract
A stationary thermocapillary rivulet structure formed in a film of a liquid falling over a semi-infinite heater is theoretically and experimentally investigated. Nonlinear three-dimensional rivulets on the surface of a liquid film under constant wall temperature conditions are simulated numerically. It is shown that the developed rivulet structure varies very little downstream. The results of calculations for small and moderate Reynolds numbers are in good agreement with experimental data.
