Abstract
Abstract
In this work, we used the hydrometallurgical method for processing titanomagnetite ore with an aqueous solution containing ammonium fluoride and hydrofluoric acid, with the aim of obtaining and subsequent separation of the resulting reaction products. Separation of compounds was carried out by precipitation of ammonium fluorometallates with an ammonia solution. The results of product separation by changing pH are presented. At pH 8, silicon ((NH4)2SiF6 – 55 % wt) and iron ((NH4)0.75Fe3F9 – 11 % wt and (NH4)2FeF5 – 6 % wt) compounds are mostly precipitated. At pH 9, the precipitate consists of titanium compounds: (NH4)2TiF4O – 67 % wt and NH4TiOF3 – 33 % wt.
