Abstract
Abstract
The article describes four stages of building a model based on a set of non-conforming products, and then verifies them on a practical example of implementation in a company from the automotive industry. The aim of the model is to support the analysis of quality problems in manufacturing companies. The first stage consists in defining the level at which the model will be built in the organizational structure. The second stage is to define the characteristics of non-conforming products. The third stage is to determine the possible values of each feature and grouping non-conforming products into sets of feature values. The fourth step is to define all parts of the common sets feature values. The model was checked at the level of the aluminium wheel production plant, where 7 features of non-conforming products were defined. The production data obtained from the model were described and interpreted. Possible ways of using the model of non-conforming product features by both technologists and management staff were shown.
