Abstract
Abstract
We investigate the motion of a charged particle in the field of a plane electromagnetic wave propagating perpendicular to a static crossed configuration of uniform electric and magnetic fields. The relativistic equations of motion are stated and integrated in a special case taking advantage of the existence of a constant of motion. The obtained solutions are analyzed for various polarizations of the electromagnetic wave.
