Abstract
Satellite-based entanglement distribution is essential for global-scale practical quantum network and foundational tests of quantum physics. Owing to relative motion of the satellite and the ground station, however, using high intensity reference laser to compensate polarization rotation is necessary. Here we propose an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to compensate polarization using entangled photon pairs instead of high intensity reference laser. Our AI polarization compensation algorithm opens a new avenue to quantum communications and fundamental quantum optics experiments.
