Abstract
A method earlier suggested by the author for calculating the contribution of a particular interaction to a particular semiempirical parameter is adopted to calculate the contribution of core polarization to semiempirical values of the hyperfine structure parameters. Core polarization is envisaged as mixing with configurations originated by excitation of electrons from inner s2 shells. A contribution of configuration mixing
