Abstract
A field experiment was conducted in Abu Ghraib’s sandy-loam soil during the autumn 2019–2020 season at one of the agricultural stations of the Soil Research Department. The current study sought to determine how phosphate fertilizer levels and agricultural sulfur affect the availability of specific nutrients and the productivity of potato cultivars (Sivra). Additionally, the experiment was set up using three replicates of the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Agricultural sulfur at levels S0 (without addition) and S1 (500 kg.ha−1) were two components of the test. The second is phosphate fertilizer, which comes in three levels: P0 (without adding), P1(50% fertilizer recommendation of 100 kg/ha), and P2 (100% fertilizer recommendation of 140 kg/ha). The treatments were given to the experimental units at random during the statistical analysis of the data, and the average of the treatments was compared using the least significant difference (L.S.D.) test at a probability level of 0.05. The Results of the study showed that the characteristics of the plants were significantly influenced by the concentration of agricultural sulfur S1. The P2S1 bilateral interaction treatment was 73.57 cm taller than the other treatments in terms of plant height. Additionally, at the maturity stage, the amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the leaves were 2.60%, 0.42%, and 3.82%, respectively, while the amount of dry matter in the tubers was 20.72%. In addition, the yield characteristics, tuber weight, plant yield, and overall yield were significantly different from the control treatment, according to the results. With a tuber weight of 167.57 g/tuber, a plant yield of 1097.0 g/plant, a total tuber yield of 58.53 t.ha-1, and a starch percentage of 13.65%, the bilateral interaction treatment P2S1 was superior.
