Evaluation of thermal insulation of pipelines in the overhead method of laying in the climatic conditions of the South of Russia

Abstract

Abstract The characteristics of used and new heat-insulating materials for pipelines of heating networks are presented. Functions have been established for determining the outer diameter of a pipeline with thermal insulation for all materials under consideration. A two-factor machine experiment was carried out, as a result of which the quantitative dependence of specific heat losses on the thermal conductivity coefficient and pipeline diameter was determined. Graphical interpretations of the obtained functions are presented. Based on the analysis of the obtained results, it was established which factor has the greatest influence on the value of specific heat losses and which heat-insulating material should be used.
