Abstract
Geosynthetic soil walls are effectively utilising because of their adaptability, affordability, and easy to construct. Although cohesive soil has traditionally been used in many regions across the world for economic reasons, a cohesionless soil is advised for geosynthetic reinforced earth walls. From its findings, many criteria, including the angle of internal friction, the horizontal seismic coefficient, the cohesion of the backfill soil, and the surcharge on the backfill, have been assessed. It was evident that the horizontal seismic coefficient has an impact on the stability of reinforced earth walls. The horizontal seismic coefficients, surcharge, and the cohesion of the soil all affect the tension resistance that is mobilised in the reinforcement to preserve the stability of the wall.
