Abstract

Abstract Micro piles are piles having a diameter of less than 300 millimeters. Due to small diameter piles, this may act as reinforcement in the soil. The deep foundation in places with limited access where it is impossible to utilize larger equipment, the micropile can also be deployed. Micro piles can provide tremendous support while reducing costs, environmental effects, and building vibrations. Micro piles have been widely used in a variety of engineering applications such as increasing bearing capacities, reducing settlements, underpinning, in situ soil reinforcing, seismic retrofitting, and foundation rehabilitation. The soil behavior was analyzed by using the Plaxis 2D software. The Saturated unit weight, unsaturated unit weight, friction angle, dilatancy angle, and cohesiveness are among the criteria taken into account when analyzing the behavior of the soil. The considered parameters were assigned to the software and the output will be the lateral displacement and stresses and also to know the cross-section. The micropiles Young’s modulus, diameter, and spacing are additional factors. The behavior of soil was observed by constructing the micropile.
