Abstract
Hollow Core Slab (HCS) is a precast slab with prestressing system and voids along the span of the slab which serves to reduce its self-weight. For HCS to be able to increase its flexural and shear capacity, an overlay is used on the interface along the length of HCS. Overlay serves to create a continuous surface level and increase the load capacity of the slab. The advantage of using an overlay system, namely strength and serviceability, is available after the element is fully composite against the parent concrete. An analytical study will be carried out using Response-2000 version 1.0.5 program related to flexural behavior using two research configurations. The first configuration is HCS with overlay, with an overlay thickness of 50 mm. The second configuration is HCS without using an overlay. Therefore, the second specimen is referred to as a control specimen. The evaluation of the analysis results was reviewed based on the load-displacement curve, cracking load, displacement at cracking load, peak load, displacement at peak load, and cracking mode. The final result of this study is a form of validation to ensure the flexural behavior of the specimen in analytical modeling is consistent with the specimen in experimental studies.
