Abstract
The distinguishing features of drilling the upper strata of sedimentary rocks are considered. Based on the methods and technical means for drilling wells while casing, the main directions for the development of a removable core drill that can be used for drilling with a casing string are established. The results of field testing of the detachable core for drilling while casing are shown.
