Preliminary Design of Aircraft without Vertical Tail

Abstract

Abstract According to the development of international military equipment, the mainstream fighters in the first half of the 21st century will be the sixth-generation fighters. Today, one of the characteristics of the sixth-generation fighters may be “no vertical tail”, so this work will explore the absence of vertical tails in this paper. Under the premise of a stable surface, the preliminary aerodynamic shape design of the sixth-generation fighter. And to study the openloop and closed-loop dynamic control characteristics of such aircraft. Finally, the preliminary design scheme of the aircraft without vertical tail is obtained.
