Experimental study on compressive strength and durability of steel slag cement non-burned and non-steamed brick

Abstract

Abstract Non-burned and non-steamed brick is made of steel slag, cement, additives and water mixing extrusion, The mix ratio is cement:stone powder: steel slag =l:2.7:13.5. This experiment studies three different sizes of steel slag cement non-burned and non-steamed brick. The researches show that: The density of steel slag cement non-burned and non-steamed brick is larger than that of ordinary brick; The strength and frost resistance of 240mm × 110mm × 50mm non-burned and non-steamed brick all meet the relevant requirements of MU15.0 in JC/T422-2007Non-fired rubbish gangue brick. The non-burned and non-steamed brick strength of 200mm × 100mm × 50mm and 200mm × 100mm × 60mm conforms to the relevant requirements of MU25.0 in JC/T422-2007 Non-fired rubbish gangue brick. After 15 freeze-thaw cycles, the mass loss rate is within 1%, but the strength loss rate is as high as 44%.
