Abstract

Abstract The article explores the category of “greening” as a new way to ensure environmental safety in the transition to sustainable development. The article considers theoretical and legislative approaches to understanding the process of ecologization itself. The facts that allow us to talk about the active process of introducing greening into all spheres of public life are studied. The classification of the greening process depending on the subject of activity is presented; criteria for the effectiveness of greening have been developed. The reasons for the insufficient level of the process of ecologization of economic activity in Russia are revealed. In conclusion, measures are proposed to enhance the greening of economic activity for business entities and for the state.
